Deeta Thakural, formally known as Khushboo Lakhi has grown up amongst the astute and bright minds of gemstone manufacturers in the city of Jaipur. She has been surrounded by creativity all throughout her childhood imbibing art from the heritage city, her vacations were mostly spent looking at gemstones and jewelleries.

 

Her burning desire to do something different in the industry led her to create her own jewelry line. She blends Indian jewelry making techniques with the running trends of international fashion weeks and makes it into enticing forms appealing to international collectors. Each piece is hand sketched and the gemstones are arranged on clay by her, before its moulded by her in-house goldsmiths. 

Each and every piece is handmade thereafter, creating her signature jewelry style distinctive.

Being a creative person from her primitive years, she studied Jewelry Design and Technology for 4 years. Wanting to gain more knowledge, she did GG from GIA. Also taking a ground up approach, worked in the industry collaborating with various companies. 

She uses natural diamonds in variety of colors in full cut diamonds, slices and rose cuts combined with 18k yellow, white and rose gold.

 

She launched her first collection under her parental company with fancy color diamonds and diamond slices with only 30 pieces, which was a huge success. Now she has her own proprietorship firm and her collection includes more than 600 designs.

 

Having made gradual and steady growth, she gained recognition of rising star at JCK Design Center.  She has been featured in TrendVision forecasting. She won the JCK Editor’s Choice award and also made it as a JCK Jewelers Choice Award Finalist in the same year. Also Awarded as Women entrepreneur of the year by GJEPC, India.

She has been recognized for her cutting-edge Jewelry globally and has been featured in magazines across the globe. Deeta promotes a new age sensibility that displays confluence of modern and classic interpretation through her asymmetric designs that unite rough and polished gems seamlessly in quirky and enticing arrangements.
